The diving instructor family of the EOBV has one member richer. Christian Schwarz passed the diving instructor exam on May 6th, 2012 and is therefore the new diving instructor of the EOBV .

From 30.4. until 6.5. this year’s diving instructor seminar took place in Weyregg and Weißenbach/Attersee.

Of the 6 registered participants, however, only Christian Schwarz, who comes from the diving school of our colleague Manfred Berschl, appeared at the seminar. Under the direction of our training manager Reinhold Schmidt and the assistance of the Vice President Joachim Aschl, he faced the challenges of the seminar. Daily from 9am to 7pm, his knowledge was supplemented in specialist lectures and his skills were practically tested in the water. The practical requirements included group leadership, working under water with the lifting balloon, drilling, cutting, salvage, a simulated emergency ascent with alternating breathing, night diving and orientation. The theoretical topics included methodology, didactics, conversation skills, management of a diving school from an economic point of view, technology, standards and laws, orientation and association philosophy.

Our treasurer Erwin Matiasch and the head of the law department, Mag. Karina Beyer, added to the examination committee on Saturday and Sunday. The joy of passing the exam made me forget the hardships of the entire week.

The presidium and the entire board congratulate our new diving instructor on behalf of all TL of the EOBV on his success and wish him all the best for his diving future.
