Travel safely with the EOBV

Diving with a scooter is becoming increasingly popular and in many areas of diving, the scooter has become indispensable. The scooter can be used as a fun and fun device when diving. Scooters can be used in many different ways to cover long distances, when diving in wrecks and caves, in strong currents.

Diving with a scooter is a lot of fun and, if handled correctly, represents a gain in safety, but can be dangerous if handled improperly. We would like to address these dangers in our various scooter courses, among other things, in order to give the diver the best possible performance and safety for his area of application. The scooter course is also necessary for every scooter diver in order not to lose insurance cover in the event of an accident with a scooter while diving.

The training to become a scooter diver, called ADV/DPV Diver for short, is divided into 3 training levels at the EOBV:

Level 1: the “Basic ADV/DPV Diver”

It appeals to all scuba divers who want to use the scooter as fun and fun equipment, or to expand their radius of action. In addition, this course is also made for divers with physical disabilities (Handicap Diver).

Level 2: the “Technical ADV/DPV Diver”

This course is for technical divers who have a radius of action of up to 90m diving depth and a maximum of 3 stage bottles

exceed, provided. This course is designed for both open system divers (OC) and rebreather divers (PSCR, SCR and CCR Diver).

Level 3: the “Unlimited ADV/DPV Diver”

This is the Ultimate Scooter Course for Advanced Trimix Divers and Full Cave Divers. This course knows only one limit; Maximum 4 scooters!

All courses are divided into a theory and a practical part. In the theoretical part, among other things, the topics; Structure, function, maintenance and care of the scooter, dive planning, equipment and equipment configuration for scooter riding, safety aspects and communication are covered. In the practical part, among other things, the correct position behind the scooter, taring and various standard maneuvers are practiced, and various emergency scenarios are also played through. Each EOBV Scooter Instructor will also respond individually to the needs of his student divers in order to convey safety, responsibility and fun in scooter driving.
